Statue in polychrome carved
wood, articulated at the elbow so as to beat
time, this figure
- made by Gavioli - is exceptional by its size.
The fairground artist has
exaggerated the roundness of this womans
body yet it is shapely at the same time - the way
her hair falls loose and the studied way she is
partially dressed accentuate once more the charm
of women of that time, particularly those in
places of amusement.
