  Automaton Throwing Game
France - beginning of 20th century

This game machine inhabited fairground stalls from the beginning of the century. The head turns from right to left and back, thanks to an electric motor hidden in its base. The balls fall into compartments at the top of the base, each differently coloured slot corresponding to a certain number of points. At one end of the compartments there is a trap which allows the projectiles to be returned quickly.
